My name is Melanie Nicklin and I am part time photographer. I love taking pictures of everything. Some of my first subjects were my pets (a bird, kitten, small dog). I started in photography while I was still in High School (that means 14 years ago) not only on the Yearbook, but also at a local Portrait Studio. While it was a large studio, in a short time I had customers that came back to me for every occasion, some monthly, others 2 or 3 times a year, I loved it. I have worked in almost every aspect of photography there is, Photographer/Manager in a Studio, printing lab, camera/equipment sales, College Newspaper, HS Yearbook, classes to improve my skills, and Photoshop. I am loving Photoshop and all that it can do. It helps me add the personal touch and offer variety to my customer, PST...That's you! My philosophy has always been to capture great images in a relaxed and comfortable environment while forging relationships with families. This is important to me because these pictures last through your lifetime and someone special should capture them. I feel this is best created in a place that children feel most comfortable.
